Acharavi is a 3km long sandy beach, one of largest on the island. Although the city is visited by many tourists during the summer season, the wide beach is never crowded. A popular spot for the families since it provides a safe environment for the children. Slightly pebbly, once past the pebbles it’s sand all the way out. Acharavi beach is organised and equipped for water sports, games and scuba diving. Since there is no real city centre in Acharavi itself, the attractions are also scattered on the beach.
